The construction of a residential structure as defined in 37:2150.1(16), when the cost of the undertaking exceeds $50,000. Residential construction also refers to home improvement contracting as provided for in 37:2150.1(8) when the cost of the undertaking exceeds $50,000 dollars. It shall not include the manufactured housing industry or those persons engaged in building residential structures that are mounted on metal chassis and wheels.
